Those Thin Jones Boys, Circa 1965

Contrary to the popular rumor of that time, my brothers and I did get feed regularly. This photo was taken of us while living in Norman, Oklahoma, in 1965. I'm the little guy with the broken arm. My brother, Robby, is in the middle displaying trophies he won...for lord knows what (ha) and the tallest one is my oldest brother, Scotty.

Drop Your Pants Wine Label

Prior to this past Christmas I was hired to create a humorous wine label for an Iowa Winery. I did a number concept sketches for them and this is the design they went with. It was fun to create and I look forward to creating more novelty wine labels for them in the future!

Basset Hound+Kidney Issue= Lots of Water

My poor basset hound, Blaze, is dealing with a kidney issue right now that causes her to drink an excessive amount of water.
Making sure her water bowl is constantly full is a chore in itself. I think it might be easier just to give her a long straw and a 5 gallon jug of water and let her have at it!

Deep Snow- Short Legs

I know I shouldn't laugh but it really is quite comical watching Blaze, the basset hound, try and find her way through deep snow to take care of her business. Those poor short legs just don't hack it in this wintery wonderland.

Watching Kim slip-sliding-away...

On top of massive amounts of snow left over from previous snowstorms, we were recently hit with a nasty ice storm. Everything is literally covered in a sheet of ice. Well, some hearty souls still brave the elements to venture outside for exercise...one being my lovely wife, Kim. This morning I watched she and her running partner head out at 5:15am for their morning jog....'slip-sliding-away'. Fortunately they returned safely...but admitted, "That was nuts."

January 21, 2010

It's no secret I adore my basset hound, Blaze. I've always said she's the perfect fit for our family...'Not to bright but really nice and funny.' Well, if you've ever been to our home it's also no secret that Blaze has that lovely (not) Basset Hound odor. Last night we had all finally had enough and I got her in the tub for a bath. Like lots of dogs, she looks totally humilated during the bath...but once out of the tub and dried off, her exuberance and happiness is hysterical and so cute.___Sadly, she'll stink again in about 12 hours. Ha...sad but true.
