Happy New Year to all!

After having our son home for 10 days, we just put him on a plane bound for his home and life in NYC. His sister is still with us until she has to return to college...and for this I am thankful :-) But we so, so, so enjoyed having him here with us and being reunited as a family. We're a bit of a whacky bunch but there is so much love and laughter shared that I feel so entirely blessed.__My wife, daughter and I all promised that we'd try not to be sad at our son's leaving but concentrate on the happiness and joy we shared. And we are trying...but admittedly, our hearts are heavy. I always say, it wouldn't hurt so much if we didn't love so much.__Here's to a great and wonderful 2013...with lots of love!

Politics and Halloween...Ugh!

As someone who is not particular a fan of politics, these days have me feeling even more so. How ironic that all this nasty, messy, campaigning is coinciding with Halloween.  Each side is hitting it hard and wearing identical ugly outfits and fooling no one (I wish) as to who they are. Happy Halloween!

Cool Parents...or just Cool Shades

This past weekend my wife and I, along with a select group of other parents, took part in Coe College's

Parents Weekend. We are all part of the Parent Advisory Council at Coe! It was a fantastic weekend and we were once again, incredibly impressed by the faculty and students!__After a day of meetings, they gathered us up on a stairway, gave us cool shades, and....waaaaalaaaaa! Here you have us! :-)
