So groggy and sleepy, I was ten minutes into snow removal before I realized I had briefs on my head, boxers on my bottom and I had accidentally discovered the secret winter burial ground of dog poop.
In today's difficult economy and with all the craziness going on in the world, it's too easy to let yourself get sucked into all the negativity. I would like to salute all those who can still start their day with a smile and who are able to find 'THE POSITIVES'!
Have you ever found yourself in that awkward position of speaking with someone and acting like you don't see 'the obvious' that's right in front of you? The awkward part being, that it is totally obvious to the person you are speaking to can tell you're uncomfortable and avoiding 'the obvious'.
My son is living and studying in NYC this semester as part of his Theatre major. The other evening I received the funniest text messages from him while he was attending an opera, that he was required to see. We bantered (texted) back and forth with shared laughs. __This cartoon is the Valentine I did for him as a result of those text messages. I think you can figure it out for yourselves. After having just spent several hours outside snowblowing and shoveling, and then coming inside to find out that the worst of today's storm is yet to come ( a predicted 8 to 15 additional inches of snow, 40 mph winds, below zero windchills)...has a lot of us now eagerly looking for that first ROBIN of Spring!
